i need to take the tri rail train from miami to fort lauderdale airport station. I am staying in south beach, so what station of the tri rial is closest,,, miami airport station, hialeah market station or metro rail transfer station?? how much with a taxi from sobe to that station??

The closest by cab would be the airport station. Or you could take the cab to downtown Miami, take Metro-rail to the Tri-rail Station in Hialeah & switch there. I have been told that Super Shuttle runs from SoBe to Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Call them or access www.Supershuttle.com to see. It may be comparable to a combination of cab & train fares.

There is not a tri-rail station near South Beach so you need to get yourself to the Miami airport station. That's the closest station to South Beach. Ask your hotel how much a cab will cost. Once you get to the Ft. Lauderdale airport station, a free bus will take you over to the airport. Make sure you leave at least 15 minutes for that bus transfer.
